Membership at Benalla Golf Club opens the door to year-round golf, social events, bistro dining privileges, and access to our network of reciprocal clubs across the region. We offer various membership categories to suit different needs and budgets, with many available on a pro-rata basis if you join after October 31st.
Early payment incentives reward members who pay their annual subscriptions by September 30th, including special discounts for long-standing members aged 75 and over.
Renewal notices are issued each August, with subscriptions due by September 30th. Most membership categories come with full voting rights, while some associate categories like Junior Under 18, Country Special, and Gaming/Social memberships focus purely on access and enjoyment of club facilities.

Full Member
- Seven day Membership with voting rights.
- Pro-rata Subscription available if joining after October
Member 75 years
and older*
- Social golf 7 days per week
- May play social golf 7 days subject to timesheet restrictions. Entitled to compete in 9 Hole events. Precluded from playing in 18 hole competitions.
- Entitled to voting rights.
- Pro-rata subscription available if joining after October.
Generation Y Membership
(21 - 40 years)
- Seven Day Membership with Voting rights.
- Must be Under 40 as at October 1. Evidence of age may be required.
- Pro-rata Subscription available if joining after October
Country Member*
- Persons whose ordinary place of residence is more than 35 kilometres, but less than 100 kilometres radius from the clubhouse. Evidence may be requested.
- If any such member shall be resident within 35 kilometres radius of the clubhouse for a period exceeding 6 months in any one year that person shall cease to be a Country Member.
- Have the rights and privileges of Members including Voting Rights.
- Pro-rata subscription available if joining after October.
Country Special Member*
- Persons whose ordinary place of residence is more than 100 kilometres radius from the clubhouse. Evidence may be requested.
- If any such member shall be resident within 100 kilometres radius of the clubhouse for a period exceeding 6 months in any one year that person shall cease to be a Country Special Member.
- Have the rights and privileges of Members.
- No Voting Rights.
Junior Playing Member (Under 18)*
- No voting rights.
- Must be Under 18 at October 1.
Junior Member
(18 to 21)*
- Upon attaining 18 a Junior Member shall become a Member 18 and under 21.
- Voting rights.
- Must be under 21 at October 1
Non Playing Member*
- Shall enjoy all the rights and privileges of the Club except for the golf links playing facilities.
- Voting rights.
Introductory Member
- Are entitled to playing facilities 7 days.
- No voting rights.
- Category entitlement for a once only 12 month period from date of joining.
- Must not have been a financial member of any golf club in the previous 5 years.
Beginner Program Member
- 'Get Into Golf Program' - Mens & Women.
- Voting Rights
Gaming/Social Membership
- Shall be a Social Member of the Golf Club only.
- No Voting Rights.
Honorary Life Member
- Shall be those persons elected as Honorary Life Members by the Club.
- Shall be entitled to all privileges of the club.
